We all love tradition and Cooroy is no exception, giving us a weekend of sensational Christmas festivities - a programme that will light up this little hinterland town.

Expect to see an amazing treasure trove of unique, trendy stalls with great gift ideas for family, friends and co-workers, plus Brisbane's best food trucks, street performances, buskers and live entertainment!

Skip the crowded shopping centres this festive season and opt for Love Handmade Markets, a place to slow down and take in the small pleasures the maker movement brings.

Lighting up the hills of Chermside this Christmas will be the annual Christmas Festival and lights display at St Gerard Majella Catholic Church.

As with previous years, Christmas Extravaganza hosted by Greenbank Rural Fire Service will be a massive night, but this year it is going to be even bigger.

The Burstows tentatively took the first steps and wondered if anyone would arrive.

Get in the Christmas spirit with a great traditional festive movie at Manly Harbor Village and the great news is that it is free.

As Brisbane's most exciting nearly new garment and accessory marketplace December's Bazaar is primed to see all the regular, as well as some new, and exciting, stall holders there to make your wardrobe renovation so easy, so enjoyable and so very inexpensive.

The Queensland Choir has been performing since 1872 and is now regarded as one of the premier large choirs in Australia.

RSPCA is hosting the must-go-to event on Thursday 30th November, from 6pm to 9pm.

The Burn 333 - as it is known - is 333m of excruciating uphill running from the roundabout at the bottom of Oxford Street in Bulimba all the way to the top to the entrance to Bulimba State School on Wentworth Parade.

The year 1987 was a good one for romances: it's the year two films that were destined to become classics hit the cinemas.

December 4 sees this year's only supermoon: this is when the moon moves especially close during its orbit around the Earth, resulting in a larger and brighter than the normal moon.
